    When Time Ran Out

Rating:

Disaster:

Volcano

Plot Summary:

An isolated Caribbean hotel is damaged by a sudden volcanic eruption, nearby. A small group of hotel guests follow one man away from danger and across the island while the others ignore him and choose to stay.

Comments:

'When Time Ran Out' is basically 'Poseidon Adventure' meets 'The Devil at 4 O'clock'. The characters could not be more stereotyped and predictable than they are here. Still, this film makes for an entertaining two hours. Recommended.

Special Effects:

This film contains special effects that aren't too great nowadays but still manage to excite or terrify the audience. There is a great tidal-wave and earthquake scene nearer the start of the film but the destruction of the hotel at the end left a bit to be desired.
