    Volcano: Fire on the Mountain

Rating:

Disaster:

Volcano

Plot Summary:

The town of Angel Falls is under threat by a volcano. A USGS guy must try to convince the towns people to leave before the mountain inevitably explodes.

Comments:

Quite an entertaining flick that is essentially the TV counterpart for 'Dante's Peak'. The characters are a little predictable and run of the mill. The plot moves swiftly, getting right into the exploding mountain, unlike 'Dante's Peak'. One of the better TV disaster movies of the nineties.

Special Effects:

'Volcano: Fire on the Mountain' contains some exciting and realistic special effects that are thankfully 100% original. This is a rarity these days and it's great to see a TV movie producer spend the time creating original effects instead of stealing them from existing films. Top job!
