    Tycus

Rating:

Disaster:

Asteroid

Plot Summary:

A comet twice the size of earth is headed on a collision course with Earth. The comet will hit our moon and be destroyed, but the fallout of this collision will inevitably destroy the surface of this planet as we know it...

Comments:

This is another of those disaster films that disgraces the genre. Bad acting, stolen graphics from other films and a hero character who was quite plainly, stupid. Dennis Hopper is boring and predictable and the rest of cast isn't even worth mentioning. The artwork on the cover is great and some of the effects were original (though most were borrowed) and so 'Tycus' just scrapes in for two stars. Don't bother unless you have nothing else to watch.

Special Effects:

The effects are anything but seamless. What few original effects shots there were, were brief and obscure and those that were stolen don't deserve to be rated within this film. Not a good effort.
