    Zero Hour

Rating:

Disaster:

Air Disaster

Plot Summary:

Passengers and crew aboard an airliner become sick from food poisoning. With the crew incapacitated, who will fly the plane?

Comments:

This is one of the original and best of the early air disaster movies. The characters are stock standard for a film of this age and the dialogue is also dated, but still entertaining. 'Zero Hour' is a film that you probably won't watch very often. It's also very hard to take seriously after having seen 'Airplane', the film that parodied this movie. The plot line from this film was later reused in 'Terror in the Sky'. Arthur Hailey, author of the original 'Airport' novel, wrote the scripts for both 'Zero Hour' and 'Terror in the Sky'.

Special Effects:

A relatively believable miniature model was used for the exterior shots of the plane in flight. There were no other special effects shots in this film.
