Mercy Mission: The Rescue of Flight 771

Rating:

Disaster:

Air Disaster

Plot Summary:

The pilot of a Cessna airplane becomes hopelessly lost in flight over the Pacific Ocean. He radios for help and the pilot of an Air New Zealand flight becomes determined to find the pilot before the lost pilot runs out of fuel and crashes into the Pacific Ocean.

Comments:

'Mercy Mission' is a fun film for viewers of all ages. The dialogue and the characters are easy to watch and flow nicely throughout the film. The story is interesting as well but as a whole the film offers nothing new to the more seasoned disaster movie lover.

Special Effects:

The special effects in this film are obviously done on the cheap. The shots from inside the cockpit of the Cessna are particularly poor, as the producers relied on blue screen technology to insert the background scenery. Unfortunately it looks quite fake.
