    Miracle Landing

Rating:

Disaster:

Air Disaster

Plot Summary:

A small Hawaiian airliner suffers tremendous damage when, only moments after take off, the forward section of the planes roof is ripped off during flight. Based on a true story

Comments:

'Miracle Landing' is a fantastic film, amazingly based on a true story. The characters are a little dry but the dialogue and the story keep momentum throughout the film. Well worth seeing if you can track it down.

Special Effects:

The special effects in 'Miracle Landing' are first rate. Miniature models were used for some exterior shots of the plane and for the most part, looked very believable. The actual disaster sequence in which the roof of the plane rips off is excellently done and to it's credit, has been used by several other films since, including 'Fearless' and 'Free Fall'. A top notch effort.
