    The Concorde: Airport '79

Rating:

Disaster:

Air Disaster

Plot Summary:

In this, the final instalment of the Airport series, the famous Concorde is the target of a mans attempt to kill his girlfriend who "knows too much". After three failed attempts to destroy the plane with her on it, the Concorde eventually crash lands in the Alps.

Comments:

This film is the poorest of the 'Airport' series, suffering from uninteresting characters, a genuinely boring script, and a rather stale dialogue. It's a shame that the 'Airport' series ended on such a low note, virtually guaranteeing that no future instalments would be made to the 'Airport' series.

Special Effects:

The special effects were also nowhere near as impressive as the previous 'Airport' films. The final crash scene was quite good but you could tell that a miniature model was used. The airborne action scenes where animation was used are without doubt the worst shots in the film. Watch this one just to say you've seen them all.
