    Lightning: Fire from the Sky

Rating:

Disaster:

Storm

Plot Summary:

A teenage boy is tracking a bizarre weather pattern on his computer and predicts that his home town will be ground zero for one of the most destructive lightning storms in history. His father, as well as the authorities, do not believe him, until too late...

Comments:

'Lightning: Fire from the Sky' is another average TV disaster movie. The characters are extremely stereotyped, right down to the corrupt mayor and greedy businessman. The science wizard kid also makes an appearance as the star of the film. The script failed to create any really exciting moments, but still kept me watching right to the end. Don't expect too much from this rather run of the mill film.

Special Effects:

The special effects were quite impressive throughout the film, with the exception of the final storm scenes. The effects were a mixture of miniature models and computer graphics. For some reason the effects people used a 747 to represent a weather plane. Again, don't expect too much from this film.
