Plot Summary:

A story about two native islanders who fall in love and then must part. While he is gone, he earns himself six months jail for striking a man. He tries on several occasions to escape, earning him a sentence of sixteen years. One night he escapes and returns to his love, and now eight year old daughter, only to be faced by two enemies - the islands Governor who is determined to send him back to jail, and the unequalled fury of the South Sea, the hurricane.

Comments:

Adventure movie fans may appreciate what this film has to offer, only its in black and white and it may have too much of a love theme to satisfy the real disaster movie lover.

Special Effects:

Amazing special effects for a film as old as this. Definitely a classic disaster film.
