    A Fire in the Sky

Rating:

Disaster:

Asteroid

Plot Summary:

Phoenix, Arizona is the estimated impact zone for a massive comet from outer space. Scientists battle officials to get the people of Phoenix out before the asteroid hits. Will they succeed?

Comments:

'A Fire in the Sky' is a hard to find seventies disaster flick by Jerry Jameson. It's a great film but a little long for a TV movie. The storyline and dialogue is a tad unrealistic by today's standards.

Special Effects:

The effects shots are mostly made up of models that are thoroughly blown up upon the arrival of the comet. Whilst the shots are obviously models, they certainly look more realistic and impressive than todays computer generated effects. Some very good effects shots feature here, so be sure to watch this film if you ever have the chance.
