    Earthquake in New York

Rating:

Disaster:

Earthquake

Plot Summary:

An 8.2 earthquake hits New York City and Detective John Rykker and his partner search the subways under New York to find his wife and daughter amidst powerful aftershocks and the chaos of post quake Manhattan.

Comments:

A very entertaining piece of drama with some convincing performances by most of the cast. Some of the characters are a little predictable but otherwise "Earthquake in New York" is an enjoyable hour and a half.

Special Effects:

The disaster special-effects leave a little to be desired as they are made up of very obvious computer animation and a montage of stock footage on a New York background. However, scenes like the collapse of the Empire State Building were very well done and will leave fans of disaster flicks wanting to watch it again and again.
