    The Day the Earth Moved

Rating:

Disaster:

Earthquake

Plot Summary:

Three aerial photographers discover that an earthquake is due to strike a very small town nearby. Steve, one of the photographers, had befriended a little girl called Angela who lives in the town, and now he has less than 24 hours to get her and everyone in the town, out before the earthquake strikes.

Comments:

'The Day the Earth Moved' is a TV movie starring 'Poseidon Adventures', Stella Stevens. The film is very satisfying to watch and has great special effects for a TV movie. The characters are genuinely engaging and the dialouge, although a tad simple is still enjoyable. It's only downside is the relatively small scale of the disaster featured in the film, and rather uneventful appearance of the disaster. Still, hardcore disaster movie lovers will appreciate what this film has to offer.

Special Effects:

The effects are all life size with no model work, and for that, praise must be given. The shots of various buildings collapsing at the end of the film, were realistic and seamless. An 'A' for effort!
