Plot
Summary: |
A giant comet is on a collision
course with Earth. The comet has the potential to end life on
Earth - but not if NASA can help it. The first part of the comet
(broken in half by a botched attempt at destroying it) strikes
Earth sending an immense tidal wave rushing hundreds of miles
inland, on the American east coast. The second and larger half
is due to strike central Canada minutes later. |
Comments: |
'Deep Impact' is one of the best
disaster films ever produced. The characters are enjoyable and
the emotion in the film is touching but not overwhelming. An
excellent story with some fantastic effects. |
Special
Effects: |
The special effects in 'Deep Impact'
are some of the best ever produced. The chilling "wave"
scene at the end of the film is one that audiences will always
remember. The effects are 100% computer graphics and look extremely
realistic and very well done. |
