    Deep Core

Rating:

Disaster:

End of the World

Plot Summary:

An oil drilling crew use a brand new type of mining vehicle capable of drilling to fantastic depths to reach a deep oil well. What they manage to do is cause the world to begin to break apart causing earthquakes and tidal waves around the world. However a handful of people believe they no how to stop it.

Comments:

Oh dear. Not a good disaster movie. Not a good movie, period. The lack of special effects and the foiling of the disaster in the end just makes for another jump-on-the-bandwagon bad disaster movie.

Special Effects:

No real effects to speak of. The earthquakes featured at the start of the film are interestingly done as the scene changes just as the quake begins to hit. This would have been good if the film built up to an actual quake (that we can see) but it didn't. Still, the effects that we did see were good.
