    Deluge

Rating:

Disaster:

End of the World

Plot Summary:

The Earths weather is changing drastically for no apparent reason causing an outbreak of earthquakes and tidal waves. Most of the Earths surface sinks below sea level leaving billions dead. The film focuses mainly on the destruction of New York by a giant tidal wave and earthquake.

Comments:

A classic disaster film with some genuinely good special effects, considering the time. This film apparently is one of the first ever disaster movies. It is currently only available in Italian with english sub-titles.

Special Effects:

The effects in 'Deluge' considering it's age, were actually very well done. All the effects were done with models and slow motion photography. This made for some very chilling scenes of watery destruction as New York is flooded.
