Plot Summary:

Dr. Steven Sorenson plans to tap the geothermal energy of the Earth's core by detonating a thermonuclear device deep within the Earth. Despite warnings by a fellow scientist, Dr Sorenson proceeds with the experiment. This experiment causes a crack to form and grow within the earth's crust, which threatens to split the earth in two if it is not stopped in time.

Comments:

A typical sixties disaster flick that contains no real disaster effects but is still quite interesting and enjoyable to watch.
